The Features of the Powermatic 2000

The Powermatic 2000 comes with a motor that can produce 3 HP. It is more than enough to power up the 10” blade to spin at 2000 RPM. The cutting depth of the saw is also excellent. The rip capacity of the table saw is quite right. It is made even better by the addition of extensions. In fact, the rip capacity can be extended to up to 42” which is a significant advantage given by this table saw.

The Safety Features

Powermatic has taken steps to show their seriousness about safety by implementing a magnetic interlock system. This system prevents the machine from starting up automatically after a power failure. You will need to start up the table saw manually. A stop button located at knee level is also present. You can press it with the help of your knee when required.

To eliminate any possibilities of kickback, quick release features have been added to the blade guard and riving knife. The arbor lock has a push button. This allows you to change the blades easily and quickly while ensuring your safety.
